Add the fact that each chart has name and address of the person submitting it, plus date submitted and that the whole was compiled and published by a genealogical society and you have the opportunity to make family tie-ins with a number of lines.

"Lineage Charts" in five volumes compiled by Greenville Chapter of the South Carolina Genealogical Society publishes charts submitted by researchers from all across the United States. Most charts cover one page; some extend to two or even three pages. In addition to names, charts give dates and places of many births, marriages, deaths and burials. Many references go into the 1700's. some to the 1600's or even earlier; some give birthplace for an immigrant ancestor; in every chart migrations can be seen.

Volume largest of the volumes, contains 327 charts submitted from six genealogical chapters. Volumes II thru have between 150-and 200 charts each. Some of these are corrections or revisions of charts in earlier volumes but most are new and contain lineages submitted by members of additional genealogical chapters. Kach volume is 11 soft-cover, full name indexed, much data in small type, $24.00 for Vol. $22 each for other volumes, $102 for five volume set, available from: A Tress.

When buying carpet you should be aware that warm colors lend themselves to informality while cool colors are more formal. For high traffic areas neutral colors are better than pastels and bright colors because neutrals don't show dirt as readily. Choose colors that are just a little stronger than the effect desired because carpet tends to "gray" or show soil quickly and the soil masks delicate colors. The colors that show soil the least are medium or deep shades of blue and greens, blue-green browns grays and violet. But words tell only part of the story.
